Sharp tools. One maker.
Stratford Meridian Labs is a one-person software studio. Six focused products — from résumés to voice notes to video — each built end to end and held to the same bar: it tells the truth about what it does with your work.
Six products. One job each.
No feature sprawl, no dark patterns. Whatever a tool makes is yours to export and keep.
FreshStartr
A tailored résumé for every job you apply to, built from any posting in ~30 seconds. Every fact from your original is verified as kept; gaps are flagged for you — never faked.
Quiet Pilot
Voice notes that never leave your phone. Live transcription and an on-device AI shape rambling speech into clean, keepable notes. The App Store label reads, literally, "Data Not Collected."
NewTake
An AI video editor that finds your scenes, transcribes the audio, and assembles a finished cut. Edit the video by editing its transcript, then export with subtitles baked in.
LifeSciChat
Research answers for the life sciences, synthesised from the academic literature with citations you can follow to the source. Neural search finds concepts, not just keywords.
Dart
No-equipment workouts sized to the exact minutes you have between meetings. Tell it how long you've got; it builds the session and coaches you through it — all on your phone.
DropTen
A daily push-up debt, paid down with trivia. Right answers clear reps for free; wrong answers you pay on the floor — counted by the front camera, coach counting aloud.
How everything here gets built.
Six rules, applied to every product. Nothing ships that misses them.
Shows its work
If software touches your words, it proves what it changed. Receipts, citations, flagged gaps — checkable, not asserted.
On-device where it can be
Where a product can run its AI on your own device, it does. Where a job needs the cloud, it keeps only what that job requires — never sold, never mined for ads.
One loop, done well
Each product is a single job — capture, tailor, cut, answer, move — pursued until it's fast and quiet.
Built at the edge
Rendered close to you and priced to run lean, so a small studio keeps the lights on without turning you into the product.
Legible to everyone
Every screen meets WCAG AA — real contrast, keyboard paths, reduced-motion fallbacks. Designed in from the start.
Your work leaves with you
What a tool makes — a résumé, a cut, a note, an answer — is an artifact you export and keep. Never locked inside the app.
One person, end to end.
Stratford Meridian Labs LLC is a solo studio. Every product here — the interface, the AI plumbing, the infrastructure, the words on this page — is designed, built, and answered for by one person.
Staying small is deliberate. It means every product can be held to the studio's standard instead of the market's: truthful about what it does, private where it counts, and finished enough to be worth keeping. If one of these tools fits a problem you have, I'd like to hear how it went.
